The CT-2 On-Off Tool is a overshot type receptacle with a Jay on the top, which engages automatically and releases with a one quarter turn left hand rotation. It allows for disconnecting tubing string above the packer without retrieving it. Profile nipple feature can be used inside the stinger part to isolate below with a slickline run blanking plug. After remedial work has been completed, the tubing string continuity may be restored by reconnecting the CT-2 On-Off Tool. The standard overshot has two bonded seals which allows for multiple connection operations.
