The landing collar with the shear seat is designed for multifrac operations. It is an essential tool to activate completion BHA,set open hole packers, and liner hanger. Initially it is providing circulation of the mud fluid during completion BHA runningoperation, secondly it is closing annulars by dropping the ball in to the internal seat, this creates tubular pressure thatactivates open hole packers, liner hanger and frac toe sleeve when the first stage is ready to be pumped.
